Evlo AI, a fast-growing technology company in San Francisco, seeks a senior accounting leader to own the close and general ledger under US GAAP and SOX. You will lead a small team of accountants, partner with FP&A and external auditors, and drive automation across ERP systems.

You will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, review complex entries, and contribute to SEC reporting and internal controls. A CPA and strong NetSuite skills are required.

Competenze

• 5-8 years of combined public accounting and industry experience.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP; hands-on ASC 606 in SaaS/tech.
• SOX 404 controls design and testing experience.
• ERP systems proficiency, preferably NetSuite.
• CPA license and degree in accounting/finance.

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close in NetSuite within a tight 5-day close.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations across ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 842.
• Design, document, and test internal controls to maintain SOX compliance; coordinate with internal audit.
• Manage and develop a team of 2–3 staff and senior accountants.
• Partner with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits; prepare PBC schedules.
• Drive automation of accounting processes and improve close efficiency.

The role owns the accounting close and general ledger for a fast-growing technology company, ensuring financials are accurate, timely, and compliant with US GAAP and SOX controls.

You will lead a small team of accountants, drive process automation across ERP systems, and serve as a key partner to FP&A, SEC reporting, and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close in NetSuite, delivering accurate financial statements within a 5-day close timeline


• Review complex journal entries and reconciliations across revenue recognition (ASC 606), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and lease accounting (ASC 842)


• Design, document, and test internal controls to maintain SOX compliance; coordinate with internal audit and remediate deficiencies


• Manage and develop a team of 2-3 staff and senior accountants, setting priorities and reviewing deliverables


• Partner with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits, preparing PBC schedules and resolving technical accounting questions


• Drive implementation of accounting automation tools and improve close processes, reducing manual work and error rates


• Prepare technical accounting memos for new transactions and support quarterly SEC reporting deliverables

What We Are Looking For

• 5-8 years of combined public accounting and industry experience, including Big 4 or national firm background


• Deep knowledge of US GAAP; hands‑on experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition in a SaaS or technology environment


• Prior experience owning or supporting SOX 404 controls, including control design and testing


• Advanced NetSuite or similar ERP skills; strong Excel and comfort with SQL or reporting tools preferred


• CPA license required
