Job description

Description
SUMMARY:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for closing G10's books each month and for the accuracy of what comes out of them. You will lead the close calendar, review the team's journal entries and reconciliations, and handle the more technical work yourself. This is a hands-on role - you are in the ERP and the workpapers, not just reviewing them – and it carries ownership of the internal controls and documentation that support the financial statements.

We expect everyone on the Finance & Accounting team to actively experiment with AI in their daily work. You don't need to be an expert – but you do need to be curious, willing to try things, and willing to share what works (and what doesn't) with the team. Over time, we expect AI-assisted workflows to become a standard part of how we close the books, build reports, and analyze the business.

KEY RESULT AREAS:
  • Own the month-end close process, including the close calendar, task assignment, and review of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Review and approve the work of accounting staff, providing technical guidance and coaching
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP & company policy and research technical accounting questions as they arise
  • Oversee AP functions, including Ramp approval workflows and exception resolution
  • Oversee AR functions, cash application, and monitoring, including leveraging Amazon Vendor and Seller Central
  • Maintain and document internal controls over the accounting cycle and identify & remediate control gaps
  • Prepare required compliance reports for external lenders
  • Liaise with shared services finance team, reviewing accuracy and managing compliance where applicable in payroll functions
  • Serve as primary contact for external auditors and tax preparers, coordinating requests and schedules
  • Drive process improvement and system enhancements in the ERP to shorten close and reduce manual effort
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
