Job summary

Synergy Search is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager for a private equity backed professional services firm with global reach. You will own the general ledger and month-end close for a multi-entity organization and lead an accounting team across the US and abroad.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on a tight close, building a strong team, and delivering visible impact for senior leadership every month. Remote work is available with robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading international multi-entity consolidations (eliminations, intercompany, foreign currency).
• Industry accounting background; not pure public accounting.
• Several years of people management with multiple direct reports.
• Month end close ownership at a managerial, hands-on level.
• Experience in public equity or PE-backed environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run month end close for US and international entities and meet monthly deadlines.
• Own consolidation, including eliminations, intercompany and currency translation.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations across a large multi-entity chart of accounts.
• Deliver US GAAP financials, management reporting and month-over-month analysis.
• Lead and coach senior accountants in US and abroad.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit.
• Contribute to technical accounting topics and new standards.

Compensation: $115K to $130K base plus annual bonus and a strong benefits package

Synergy Search is conducting a search for a Corporate Accounting Manager on behalf of a private equity backed professional services firm with a global footprint.

You will own the general ledger and month end close for a multi entity, international organization and lead an accounting team that spans the US and abroad.

What You Will Own

• Run the month end close for US and international entities and hit deadlines every month
• Own the consolidation, including eliminations, intercompany and foreign currency translation
• Review balance sheet reconciliations across a large, multi entity chart of accounts
• Deliver US GAAP financials, management reporting and month over month analysis
• Lead, coach and review the work of senior accountants in the US and abroad
• Serve as the general ledger point of contact for the annual audit
• Weigh in on technical accounting topics and new standards
• Bring newly acquired entities into the close
• Strengthen workflows and controls as the company grows

What You Need

• Hands on ownership of international, multi entity consolidations (eliminations, intercompany, foreign currency)
• Industry accounting experience; not coming straight out of public accounting
• Several years of people management with multiple direct reports
• Month end close ownership as a manager who still works in the details
• 7 to 15+ years of progressive accounting experience

What Sets You Apart

• Public accounting foundation followed by industry experience
• Experience leading offshore or distributed team members
• Technical accounting exposure, such as lease accounting
• Background at a private equity backed company
• Experience with a project based ERP is a plus.
