Job summary

Steadfast Executive Search is seeking an hands-on Accounting Manager for its St. Petersburg team. This role suits a Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor moving into management, with emphasis on strong accounting fundamentals, Excel, and AI tool awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 5+ years of accounting, finance, or audit experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks is highly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Acumatica is valued.
• Proficiency in Excel and understanding AI tools in accounting.
• Project accounting experience; construction industry experience is a plus.
• Strong mentoring and staff development abilities.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Steadfast Executive Search is representing an established construction organization seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join its St. Petersburg team.

This is an excellent next step for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor ready to move into accounting management. A prior Accounting Manager title or formal management experience is not required. We're looking for strong accounting fundamentals, sound judgment, proficiency in Excel, an understanding of AI tools, and the ability to guide and support others.

Working closely with accounting leadership and operations, this person will contribute to daily accounting, monthly close, financial reporting, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities
