Job summary

Steadfast Executive Search is seeking an hands-on Accounting Manager for its St. Petersburg team. This role suits a Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor moving into management, with emphasis on strong accounting fundamentals, Excel, and AI tool awareness.

Responsibilities include daily accounting, monthly close, financial reporting, and staff development. Prior Manager title not required; CPA preferred but not required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 5+ years of accounting, finance, or audit experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks is highly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Acumatica is valued.
• Proficiency in Excel and understanding AI tools in accounting.
• Project accounting experience; construction industry experience is a plus.
• Strong mentoring and staff development abilities.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements and investigate variances.
• Support project accounting and answer questions from operations.
• Review accounting staff’s work and provide training.
• Maintain fixed asset, depreciation, and amortization schedules.
• Prepare audit and tax schedules.
• Maintain accounting controls and improve processes.
• Assist with accounting system changes and training.
