Genuine Search Group is partnering with an established Southwest Florida organization to identify an experienced Accounting Manager. This hands-on leader balances day-to-day accounting operations with team development, process improvements, and robust financial reporting.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership experience, and cross‑department collaboration abilities, with CPA preferred but not required. Manufacturing experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close understanding.
• Experience managing multiple accounting functions and developing staff.
• ERP systems knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing experience not required; corporate or professional services backgrounds welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team responsible for general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Support consolidated financial reporting, intercompany accounting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate external audits and assist with tax reporting and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve reporting, and strengthen efficiencies.
• Partner with finance leadership on special projects and accounting initiatives.

• Competitive base salary of $120,000-$160,000, depending on experience.
