Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting seeks an experienced Accounting Manager for a mission-driven organization. You will partner with leadership to provide structured, forward-looking financial leadership, manage cash flow, and oversee AR/AP, budgeting, and reporting.

Responsibilities include developing financial policies, supporting long-range plans, and guiding staff on financial reporting and profitability tracking. This role emphasizes proactive partnership and solvency.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance
• Leadership experience preferred, not required
• Experience with mission-driven organizations
• Experience with Zoho preferred; UKG experience a plus
• Strong skills in cash flow management, budgeting, cost analysis, AP/AR, financial reporting and forecasting, and WIP/job-profitability tracking

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and manage the annual cash flow chart
• Oversee AR and AP
• Maintain a strong working relationship with the accounting firm and expedite all aspects of financial accounting systems
• Develop the company trust agreement
• Perform periodic bookkeeping functions (monthly, quarterly, and year-end)
• Help develop and manage annual site-specific and company-wide budgets
• Provide input on long-range plans, financial projections, and capital procurements
• Produce reports and financial information, particularly cost analysis
• Develop and guide staff on job tracking and financial reports (WIP, budgets, job profitability)
• Direct and plan preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activity and financial position
• Develop or update internal financial policies and procedures to ensure solvency

About the Role

Our client is a mission-driven organization looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to bring structure, discipline, and forward-thinking financial leadership to their growing company. Day-to-Day Duties

• Help develop, monitor, and manage the annual cash flow chart

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a similar accounting/finance role, leadership experience preferred, not required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management, preferred.
• Experience in or strong understanding of mission driven organizations
• Experience with Zoho preferred; UKG experience a plus, along with a willingness to learn new software
• Strong skills in cash flow management, budgeting, cost analysis, AP/AR, financial reporting and forecasting, and WIP/job-profitability tracking
