Jobot in Peachtree City, GA is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead all accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. This permanent role reports to senior leadership and offers a competitive base salary of $100,000–$120,000 per year plus an annual bonus, strong benefits, and a generous PTO policy.

You will oversee AP/AR/GL, budgeting/forecasting, monthly statements, regulatory reporting, internal controls, and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience as financial controller or accounting supervisor.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Hands-on with FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).

Responsibilities

• Overseeing general accounting functions: AP, AR, GL, and taxes.
• Coordinating and directing budget preparation and forecasts; report variances.
• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinating regulatory reporting.
• Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensuring internal controls and documentation of processes.
• Liaising with auditors to monitor finances.
• Managing local, state, and federal reporting and tax filings.
• Mentoring accounting team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in the industrial/manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our company's accounting functions. This includes maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger, as well as preparing and analyzing budgets. Responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances
• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Researching technical accounting issues for compliance
• Supporting month-end and year-end close process
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Liaising with our auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
• Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Managing and mentoring members of the accounting team

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
• Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or a similar role.
• Solid experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• An understanding of the engineering industry and its financial regulations.
