Responsibilities and Duties:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements for the SEC requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance by reviewing data gathered from the general ledger and supporting schedules.
• Lead and coordinate the quarterly and year-end financial close processes, including the review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Supervise the maintenance of general ledger entries and ensure timely and accurate reporting through effective management of reports and documentation.
• Review and validate the accuracy of transactional data provided by clients, ensuring consistency with financial reporting standards.
• Monitor and manage the input and maintenance of bank activity and transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled accurately and in a timely manner, providing oversight and guidance to junior staff as needed.
• Review and approve supporting schedules for trial balance accounts, including prepaid expenses, prepaid insurance, and equity rollforwards.
• Provide in-depth analyses and strategic insights into financial transactions, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate the preparation of audit documentation and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
