Job summary

Landing Point is a growing global manufacturing company seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger accounting operations and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

You will mentor GL accountants, lead month-end closes, maintain internal controls, manage revenue recognition, fixed assets, and chart of accounts, and support global consolidation and audits while pursuing process improvements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license is preferred.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel and reporting tool capabilities.
• Experience in a global manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor GL Accountants.
• Lead month-end closing activities and journal entries.
• Serve as administrator for Blackline.
• Support global consolidation and GAAP-based financial reporting.
• Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and footnotes.
• Oversee the global chart of accounts and internal controls.
• Assist in process and system improvements.
• Oversee global fixed asset maintenance and reporting.
• Own revenue recognition processes for the percentage of completion.
• Support global leases and statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor GL Accountants


• Lead month-end closing activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations


• Serve as administrator and subject matter expert for Blackline


• Support the Finance Reporting Manager with global consolidation and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP


• Lead preparation of the annual financial statement and footnotes


• Ensure control and oversight of the Company’s Global chart of accounts


• Assist in developing and implementing process and system improvements


• Oversight of global fixed asset maintenance and reporting


• Ownership and completion of the revenue recognition process for the percentage of completion process


• Oversight and technical accounting point of contact for global leases


• Oversight and reconciliation of statutory financial reporting in local GAAP


• Partner with external auditors during interim and year-end audits


• Support various ongoing projects throughout the year

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of general ledger accounting experience


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required


• CPA license preferred


• 3+ years of experience supervising staff


• Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls


• Advanced Excel and other reporting tool capabilities


• Experience working in a global manufacturing industry

Compensation:

Salary: $120,000 – $135,000
