Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes per US GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support manufacturing accounting: inventory valuation, cost accounting, variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, supplier payments, and past-due follow-ups.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and controls.
• Support Epicor Kinetic ERP processes, including automation and workflows.
• Contribute to system integrations for future acquisitions; may supervise 1–2 staff.
• Provide accounting guidance and training to cross-functional teams.
• Other duties as assigned.

We have recently implemented Epicor Kinetic as our core ERP and General Ledger system and are likely to have a financial integration of a newly acquired business.

The ideal candidate possesses 7 to 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, a deep understanding of US GAAP, and a proven track record of successfully leading a financial period-end close. Beyond technical expertise, we seek a professional with strong learning agility who asks insightful questions, actively seeks to optimize workflows, and enjoys mentoring and training others.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support manufacturing accounting processes, including inventory valuation, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer invoicing, supplier payments, and past-due account follow-up.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
• Support and optimize Epicor Kinetic ERP system processes, including automation and workflow improvements.
• Support financial and system integration of future acquisitions, with the potential to supervise and develop 1–2 accounting staff members as the company grows.
• Provide accounting guidance and training to cross-functional teams as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial period-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment, including inventory and cost accounting.
• Experience with Epicor Kinetic or similar manufacturing ERP systems.
• Experience in multi-entity, private equity-backed, or acquisition environments.
• Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or training accounting staff.
• Experience with ERP implementations, system integrations, or process improvements.
