Job Description

The Manager, Fleet General Accounting is a key contributor to the future success of Carnival Cruise Lines by providing a strong professional presence, financial accounting expertise, operational insight, and leadership. This role partners with management, Operations, Internal Auditors, and vendors to enhance processes and controls.

Essential Functions

1. Oversee the timely and accurate posting of complex and adjusting journal entries for 27 ships across multiple cost centers and accounts.
2. Lead process improvements and automation in the month-end close process.
3. Review and approve tax returns, reconciliations, payments, and internal reports.
4. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
5. Provide insights, analysis, and reporting to identify opportunities and risks.
6. Assist with monthly financial close, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
7. Partner with departments to ensure compliance with regulations and audit requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of related experience, with team management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Oracle experience preferred.
• CPA required.

• Knowledge of general accounting concepts and practices.
• Ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment.
