Job summary

Confidential, a private client services firm in the entertainment industry, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join a lean, collaborative team in West Los Angeles. You will manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, coordinate with CPAs and advisors, and oversee end-to-end accounting workflows three days per week onsite.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in private client services, strong GAAP knowledge, Excel proficiency, and a client-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in private client services or related fields
• Proven experience in GL accounting, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, payroll coordination, and insurance administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own a client portfolio and be the day-to-day contact for high-net-worth clients.
• Manage full-service workflow from intake to completion.
• Oversee cash management, transfers, and banking documentation.
• Coordinate insurance renewals, changes, and claims with brokers.
• Onboard new clients and set up their workflows.
• Coordinate funding, documentation, and lender communication for major assets.
• Run 1099 administration and coordinate filings with tax and accounting partners.
• Contribute ideas on process improvements and special projects.

This person loves numbers and people just as much. You'll keep clients’ financial lives organized, head off problems before they happen, and make complicated things feel simple. This is an opportunity to join a tight-knit, lean, and hardworking team that takes real pride in their work. This role is 3 days a week onsite in West Los Angeles.

What You'll Own

• Your own client portfolio: Be the trusted day-to-day contact for a group of high-net-worth clients. Anticipate what they need and coordinate with CPAs, attorneys, advisors, and insurance partners.
• The full-service workflow: Take requests from intake to done and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
• Cash management and banking: Monitor balances, prepare and process transfers and wires, and keep documentation clean.
• Insurance coordination: Handle renewals, policy changes, and claims with brokers.
• New client onboarding: Open bank accounts, set up access, and build each new client's workflow from scratch.
• The big moments: Help clients buy homes, cars, and other major assets by coordinating funding, documentation, and lender communication.
• Reporting and filings: Run 1099 administration and coordinate quarterly and annual filings with tax and accounting partners.
• Building what's next: Contribute ideas on process improvements and special projects as the firm grows.

What You Bring

• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in private client services, business management, family office services, private wealth, or financial advisory for high-net-worth individuals or families
• Proven experience in GL accounting, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, payroll coordination, and insurance administration.
• A genuine client-service personality. You like being the go-to person, and people trust you with sensitive information.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new systems quickly. AgilLink experience is a big plus.
• The ability to juggle a high volume of work without losing track of details
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred
