Job summary

CFS in Houston seeks an Accounting Manager to lead month-end close, oversee ASC 606 revenue recognition, and partner with operations. The role blends hands-on accounting with leadership visibility in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• Experience with GL and month-end close ownership.
• Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP and reporting systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and ensure accurate, timely financial statements
• Oversee ASC 606 revenue recognition, including complex contracts and high-volume transactions
• Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, and accruals
• Partner with operations and field leadership to resolve revenue and accounting issues
• Support internal and external audits, including analytics and variance explanations
• Drive process improvements, internal controls, and system enhancements
