Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a driven Accounting Manager to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed distributor of workplace safety equipment. You will work directly with the CFO and CEO, own core accounting processes, and help scale financial systems during rapid growth.

This role offers hands-on leadership, a clear path to Controller within 12 months, exposure to automation initiatives, and a collaborative, growth-focused environment in Atlanta. Local candidates preferred; in-office work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of general accounting experience.
• Strong systems, ERP, and automation experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and macros.
• Experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems.
• Technical mindset with interest in process improvement and automation.
• Supervisor experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own month end and year end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Support ERP optimization and automation initiatives within Business Central.
• Assist with integrating acquired companies into existing financial systems and processes.
• Partner with cross functional teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with auditors and provide required documentation for annual audits.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed.
• Work closely with the CFO on special projects and operational improvements.

The position plays a critical role in month end close, system optimization, and integration of newly acquired businesses
