Job summary

Connect Search is partnering with a stable family-owned marine construction company in Galveston to hire a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager. This newly created role reports directly to the Controller and offers visibility across the business, plus a chance to move beyond traditional accounting.

You will help modernize the accounting function, manage general ledger, fixed assets, and month-end close, and play a key role in shaping processes.

Qualifications

• Strong general ledger, journal entry and month-end close experience.
• Deep understanding of GAAP.
• Fixed asset accounting experience.
• Proven track record of automating manual processes.
• Leadership experience is a plus, but they’re open to a strong Senior Accountant ready for the next step.
• A proactive, adaptable personality who enjoys wearing different hats.

Connect Search is partnering with a stable, family-owned marine construction company experiencing significant growth, to add a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to its Galveston accounting team. This is a newly created role due to growth and an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to be more than a traditional accountant. You’ll serve as a right hand to the Controller, gain exposure across multiple areas of the business, and play an important role in continuing to modernize and improve the accounting function.
