Job summary

Tarvos Talent is seeking a Senior Project Accountant in Galveston to partner with operations, own project financials, and influence project success.

You will oversee financial performance of large-scale construction projects, manage AP/AR, billing, and reporting, and support month-end close and audits. Strong Excel skills and CMiC/Textura experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a project-based, construction, engineering, or government contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of project accounting principles and revenue recognition.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs/VLOOKUPs, and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across finance and operations.
• Experience with CMiC, Textura, or similar construction accounting software is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting audits and documenting accounting processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Tarvos Talent growing and well-established construction organization is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join its finance team in Galveston. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys partnering with operations, owning project financials, and making a direct impact on project success.

In this role, you'll work closely with project managers and executive leadership to oversee the financial performance of large-scale construction projects from start to finish. You'll have visibility into project profitability, budgeting, forecasting, contract compliance, and revenue recognition while helping strengthen financial processes and controls across the organization.
