• Experience overseeing transactional accounting functions, including AP and AR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger and manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, and collections.
• Manage inventory accounting, WIP reconciliations, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Review bank reconciliations, payroll accounting, and balance sheet schedules.
• Maintain and strengthen accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax preparation, and requests from external accountants.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, and cash flow reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the company's international parent organization.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff while identifying opportunities for process improvements and ERP optimization.

About The Accounting Manager Opportunity

Our client, a well-established manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee its day-to-day accounting operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for financial reporting, month‑end close, inventory and cost accounting, and maintaining strong internal controls.
