Job summary

Ashling Partners in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to own the global month-end close, multi-currency consolidations for US/Canada/Australia, and international compliance. You will collaborate with Revenue Operations on revenue tracking, invoicing, and forecasting while improving controls and processes.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of US GAAP experience in tech/SaaS, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, and a CPA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive US GAAP accounting experience in global tech or SaaS.
• CPA credential and Bachelor’s degree required.
• Advanced Excel skills and analytics capability.

Responsibilities

• Own the global month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage international compliance and multi-currency consolidations (US/CA/AU).
• Partner with RevOps on software revenue tracking and invoicing.
• Lead audits and strengthen internal controls and systems.

The Role

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Accountant ready to step up, or an experienced Accounting Manager who thrives as an individual contributor. In this role, you will have total ownership of our global month-end close, international compliance, and multi-currency consolidations across the US, Canada, and Australia.

What You Will Do

• Own the Close: Lead the global month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Global Operations: Manage international compliance, including multi-currency intercompany entries, Canada/Australia AP, and US/CA/AU payroll reviews.
• RevOps Partnering: Partner with Revenue Operations on software revenue tracking, forecasting, quoting, and client invoicing.
• Scale & Improve: Manage sales tax filings, lead accounting/tax audits, and continuously improve internal controls and accounting systems.

Must Have skills:

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive US GAAP accounting experience within global technology or SaaS companies.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA
• Skills: Advanced Excel skills
• Mindset: A proactive self-starter comfortable managing multiple deadlines independently in a fast-paced, high-growth, venture/PE-backed environment.

The pay range for this role is:

$120,000 - $135,000 USD per year
