Job summary

Rezult Group in Brentwood, TN is seeking an Accounting Manager on a contract-to-hire basis to lead the full-cycle month-end close, ensure accurate financial reporting, and guide staff. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to implement improvements across processes.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of accounting, at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, experience in high-volume environments, and CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience with at least 1+ year of management experience.
• Experience from a large volume environment.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial statements and reporting deliverables.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure policy and accounting standard compliance.
• Oversee intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliation of balances, discrepancy investigation, and coordination with internal stakeholders for eliminations and reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, internal controls, and month-end close procedures.
• Ad hoc work as assigned.

These individuals will be responsible for:

• Manage the full-cycle month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reporting deliverables.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation prepared by accounting staff to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Oversee intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliation of intercompany balances, investigation of discrepancies, and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate eliminations and reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and streamline accounting operations and month-end close procedures.
• Ad hoc work as assigned
