Job summary

Selby Jennings is assisting a bio-pharmaceutical client in recruiting an Accounting Manager for the Boston area. You will partner with the Director to support corporate accounting, SEC reporting, and external financial close processes in a hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate brings GAAP expertise, strong financial reporting skills, and 7+ years of progressive experience; CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related.
• 7+ years of progressive tax experience, and preferably a CPA.
• Public accounting experience and/or SEC reporting experience within a bio-pharmaceutical company.
• Strong financial reporting and accounting skills, including GAAP and SEC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with ERP, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support quarterly earnings releases and external reporting.
• Monitor new regulations and SEC guidelines and help assess accounting implications.
• Partner cross-functionally with accounting, FP&A, legal, and external auditors.
• Support special projects and analysis of non-routine transactions.

Salary: $115-165k base + bonus + equity

Client/Job Summary:

Our client is a top bio-pharmaceuticalcompany looking for an Accounting Manager to work with the Director and support the company's corporate accounting, SEC and external financial reporting activities, and close processes.

The ideal candidate has experience within a bio-pharmaceuticalcompany and ideally a CPA (not required).
