Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead financial operations in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial processes, partner with the Controller and CFO, and oversee a dedicated accounting team.

Responsibilities include managing the monthly close process, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and optimizing the use of accounting software. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background and brings a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Prior leadership or team oversight experience preferred.

Job description

JM Test Systems is seeking an experienced anddetail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and ensurethe accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial processes. This role partners closely with the Controller and CFO andserves as a key leader across the accounting function—owning the generalledger, driving a strong close process, and ensuring consistent, compliantpractices across multiple locations.

You’ll act as the bridge between transactional accounting(AP), staff accountants, and leadership—bringing structure, visibility, andcontinuous improvement to our financial operations.

What You’ll Do

• Leadthe monthly and annual close process across all locations
• Reviewand approve journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Ensuretimely, accurate financial statements and reporting
• Maintaingeneral ledger integrity and consistency
• Partnerwith leadership on variance analysis and executive reporting
• Ensurecompliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Supportinternal and external audits
• Strengthenand monitor internal controls
• Identifyand drive process improvements and efficiencies
• Optimizeuse of Sage 100 and related systems
• Overseesales and use tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Partnercross-functionally with AR, Purchasing, Payroll, and Operations
• Leadand develop the accounting team, including the AP Supervisor and staffaccountants
• OverseeAP operations through the AP Supervisor to ensure accuracy, timeliness,and compliance

What You Bring

• Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• CPA(preferred or in progress)
• 3–5+years of progressive accounting experience
• Experiencewith month-end close and financial reporting
• Experiencein multi-location or service-based environments preferred
• ERPexperience (Sage 100 or similar strongly preferred)
• Priorleadership or team oversight experience preferred
