Job summary

Residex, based in Austin, is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, drive process improvements, and partner with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.

This hybrid role requires 5+ years of SaaS/tech accounting, US GAAP expertise, NetSuite proficiency, and strong ownership. You’ll build scalable workflows as the company scales and support audits with external advisors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or tech environments
• Strong understanding of US GAAP; experience with business combinations a plus
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting software; NetSuite preferred
• A process-improvement mindset—you don’t just do the work, you ask how it could be done better and make it happen
• Ability to thrive in a small team where you wear multiple hats and operate with autonomy
• Strong ownership, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
• An AI adoption mindset, always looking for ways to leverage new tools to reduce manual work and improve accuracy
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting and analytics
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy across all accounts
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
• Support sales tax filings, annual reports and other compliance obligations
• Own expense reporting, corporate credit cards, and accounts payable; serve as the primary system administrator for related third-party software
• Support annual audits working with external auditors and tax advisors
• Prepare financial schedules and supporting analysis
• Work with internal partners on vendor management
• Identify and implement process and system improvements that increase accuracy, reduce manual intervention, reduce close timeline and enhance reporting
• Build and maintain scalable workflows as we grow

Salary Description
