Job summary

Korn Ferry, on behalf of our Austell-area client, seeks an Accounting Manager to partner with the Controller in all financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. This onsite role requires a strong GAAP background and manufacturing/cost accounting exposure.

You will lead monthly close, asset management, internal controls, and interactions with auditors, banks, and tax authorities, supporting strategic growth within a high-retention, team-focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience with GAAP.
  • 2+ years exposure to manufacturing and cost accounting desirable.
  • Strong balance sheet reconciliation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and GAAP compliance.
  • Analyze financial statements and identify trends.
  • Conduct monthly General Ledger reconciliations across accounts.
  • Maintain fixed asset balances and depreciation schedules.
  • Develop internal controls to ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals.
  • Assist budgeting and forecasting with financial guidance.

Our client is a rapidly growing contract manufacturer providing Custom Plastic Injection Molding and Integrated Supply Chain solutions. Strategically located just outside the Atlanta Metro area (Austell), the company has evolved from a niche market provider to an industry leader with state-of-the-art technologies for manufacturing.

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to offer extensive support to the company Controller in all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, audit, and tax functions for the business. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in accounting and financial management. This is an onsite role. Candidates must live within a reasonable distance from Austell, GA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist in preparing monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and various regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying trends and actionable insights.
  • Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations, including all bank accounts, inventory, receivables, prepaids, payables, loan balances, etc.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset balances and depreciation schedules.
  • Formulate, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial information.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as needed for financial transactions and reporting.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing meaningful financial guidance.
Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of GAAP. Ideally, looking for 2+ years of exposure to manufacturing and cost accounting.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Must have solid Balance Sheet reconciliation skills.
  • Must be highly organized and have acute attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with ERP software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Highly preferred: experience with IQMS/DELMIAWorks. Experience with Power BI or any other business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Highly preferred: previous work within an Injection Molding company.
Salary Range

$100,000 - $120,000 salary plus 10% bonus
