Job summary

Korn Ferry is representing a rapidly growing contract manufacturer near the Atlanta area (Austell, GA) seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Controller in financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, audit, and tax functions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years in accounting with GAAP, and manufacturing/cost accounting exposure; CPA preferred but not required.

Proficiency in ERP and Excel, with IQMS/DELMIAWorks and BI tools a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA Certification preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience with GAAP.
• Manufacturing/cost accounting experience preferred.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Solid balance sheet reconciliation skills.
• Highly organized with acute attention to detail.
• Proficiency with ERP software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with IQMS/DELMIAWorks and BI tools preferred.
• Injection Molding industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist in preparing monthly financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying trends and actionable insights.
• Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations for all accounts.
• Maintain Fixed Asset balances and depreciation schedules.
• Formulate, implement, and maintain internal controls for accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing financial guidance.

This is an onsite role. Candidates must live within a reasonable distance from Austell, GA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and assist in preparing monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and various regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying trends and actionable insights.
• Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations, including all bank accounts, inventory, receivables, prepaids, payables, loan balances, etc.
• Maintain Fixed Asset balances and depreciation schedules.
• Formulate, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial information.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as needed for financial transactions and reporting.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing meaningful financial guidance.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA Certification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of GAAP. Ideally, looking for 2+ years of exposure to manufacturing and cost accounting.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Must have solid Balance Sheet reconciliation skills.
• Must be highly organized and have acute attention to detail.
• Proficiency with ERP software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Highly preferred: experience with IQMS/DELMIAWorks. Experience with Power BI or any other business intelligence/reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Highly preferred: previous work within an Injection Molding company.
