Job summary

ACCENT Hiring Group is seeking an Accounting Manager for its client in Phoenix, AZ. This direct-hire role covers hands-on accounting across AP, AR, payroll, GL, and month-end close, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

You’ll monitor cash flow, review P&L with leadership, ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls, and take the lead on audits. Strong communication and leadership will help manage a collaborative finance team in a regulated service environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a service‑oriented or regulated industry.
• Experience with audits and internal controls.

What You’ll Do

• Hands‑on day‑to‑day accounting functions, including AP, AR, Payroll, General Ledger, and monthly/yearly close.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the business operates smoothly.
• Prepare and review P&L statements to help leadership understand the numbers and make informed decisions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, contracts, and internal policies.
• Take the lead on audits, strengthen internal controls, and maintain organized and accurate documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
