Job summary

Ascentek is seeking an Accounting Lead to drive financial close, reporting and data integrity across a portfolio of companies. You will manage a small team, oversee AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and lease accounting under ASC 842, while partnering with leaders on budgets and forecasts.

The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, process improvements, and collaboration with auditors to ensure timely, accurate financial statements. Office-based in Minnesota with strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience, 2+ years in a managerial capacity preferred.
• Strong organizational skill with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving ability and GAAP understanding.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• ERP software experience including MRI, McLeod TMS and QuickBooks Online.

Responsibilities

• Oversee key financial transactions: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, depreciation and amortization.
• Ensure records adhere to policy and GAAP; manage monthly and year-end close.
• Collaborate with leadership on budgets, forecasts, and business reviews.
• Lead process improvements and ASC 842 lease accounting ownership.
• Coordinate tax returns and external audits; support EOS meetings.
