Port Townsend Paper Corporation seeks an Accounting Lead to direct the mill’s accounting function from Port Townsend, WA. You will manage the financial close, general ledger integrity, chart of accounts, and balance sheet accuracy while guiding a professional accounting team.

You will leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, maintain strong internal controls, and support budgeting, forecasting, and external audits.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.
• At least five years of progressive accounting experience, including primary responsibility for month‑end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manufacturing and cost accounting experience strongly preferred; pulp and paper exposure and ERP familiarity (4Site).
• Experience coordinating accounting staff, reviewing work, or leading team activities preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with coordination and accuracy.
• Prepare and review journal entries including accruals, reserves, allocations and adjustments.
• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts within 4Site with accurate classifications.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses; investigate significant variances.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, and inventory/cost accounting; support production cost accounting.
