Job summary

Western Milling is seeking an Accounting Manager to supervise the accounting team and manage day-to-day activities for assigned business units. You will oversee the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls while partnering with operational leaders to provide meaningful financial insights.

The role requires a CPA or CMA, 5+ years of accounting experience, and at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
CPA or CMA certification is required.
Minimum five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or accounting management experience preferred.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger activity.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements (balance sheets, income statements).
Oversee accounts receivable activities and coordinate with AP for proper timing of accruals.
