Job summary

Enterprise is offering an Accounting Intern position as part of our Business Management Training program. This paid internship will be based at our Lombard, IL or Alsip, IL offices and runs from May 2027 through early August 2027, at a rate of $24.00 per hour based on a 40-hour week.

As an intern you will assist with basic accounting procedures, including accounts payable/receivable, financial statement preparation and analysis, and support across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting with graduation May 2028 or sooner.
• Experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable or bookkeeping preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 1 moving violation in past 3 years.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statement & analysis.
• Work closely with rental branches and other departments.
• Assist accounting managers with reports and other tasks.

This role will be located at one of our regional offices in either Lombard, IL or Alsip, IL

Responsibilities

Starting as an Accounting Intern, you will be exposed to basic accounting procedures and principles ranging from accounts payable and receivable systems to financial statement, preparation, and analysis. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist in preparing financial statement & analysis
• Work closely with rental branches and other departments
• Assist accounting managers with reports, etc.
• Involved with A/P & A/R functions; cash receipts & petty cash
• Assist in accounting schedules & filing
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed
