The Riverside County Auditor Controller's Office invites a paid intern to support the Accounts Payable Unit under the Principal Accountant. This in-person internship in Riverside County offers up to 40 hours per week with academic scheduling flexibility and a one-year duration.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 2.5 and evidence via transcript must be provided with application.
• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting or Finance.
• Area of study: Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve vouchers and reimbursements as part of Accounts Payable.
• Assist with warrant distributions, wire transfers, and pay cycles.
• Support month-end and year-end close assignments.
• Process journal entries and assist with reconciliations as needed.
• Provide guidance on county policies and assistance to departments.
