Under general supervision, an Accountant II performs professional accounting work, maintains fiscal records, and prepares financial reports; may supervise administrative staff. A Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience are required, with government accounting experience highly desirable.
The City of Riverside, Finance Department is accepting applications for the position of Accountant II to fill one (1) vacancy. The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and/or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to six (6) months.
Under general supervision, an Accountant II will perform professional accounting work in the maintenance and review of fiscal records and the preparation of financial reports; and perform other similar duties as assigned.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, or a closely related field.
Two years of professional accounting experience comparable to that of an Accountant I in the City of Riverside.
