Accounting Intern / Part-Time Accounting Assistant

Our accounting team supports a variety of ambulatory surgery center and medical practices offering a unique opportunity to gain exposure to real-world accounting in a dynamic and growing industry.

We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern or Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team with day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, and administrative accounting functions. This position is ideal for a college student pursuing a degree in accounting or for an individual seeking a flexible part-time accounting opportunity.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Enter deposits and assist with maintaining bank registers
• Assist with bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
• Process accounts payable transactions and vendor invoices
• Assist with accounts receivable and customer billing activities
• Organize and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements for multiple business units
• Perform data entry and account research as assigned
• Support the accounting team with special projects and administrative tasks
• Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree in accounting or equivalent bookkeeping experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work accurately with financial information

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Teams
• Prior bookkeeping, office, or accounting experience
