Medical Consulting Group, LLC is seeking an Accounting Intern or Part-Time Accounting Assistant in Springfield, Missouri. The role offers hands-on bookkeeping, financial reporting, and administrative accounting tasks within a team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is pursuing or recently completed an accounting degree, with basic knowledge of accounting principles and strong Excel/Word skills. Prior bookkeeping experience and familiarity with QuickBooks are a plus, and flexible

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus

Responsibilities

• Enter deposits and maintain bank registers
• Assist with reconciliations (bank, credit card, loan)
• Process accounts payable and vendor invoices
• Assist with accounts receivable and customer billing
• Maintain accounting records and supporting docs
• Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple business units
• Data entry and account research as assigned
• Support the team with special projects and admin tasks
