Job summary

Wolf & Company, P.C. is seeking an Accounting Intern to join the Outsourced Finance and Accounting (OFA) team.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to cloud-based accounting systems, month-end close processes, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and finance operations. The internship runs from January to April, and the candidate is expected to work at least 1 day per week in our Boston office to gain client-facing experience and contribute to the

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Completion of introductory accounting coursework with a strong academic record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Eagerness to learn and apply accounting concepts in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transaction coding and bookkeeping activities.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist in the preparation of bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with maintaining accounting records and supporting schedules.
• Help review general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.
• Support fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
• Assist staff accountants and controllers with month-end close procedures.
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
• Investigate discrepancies and document findings.
• Organize client financial documents and maintain audit-ready digital files.
• Assist in assembling monthly financial reporting packages.
• Participate in internal team meetings and training sessions.
• Assist with onboarding and implementation projects for new clients.
• Support process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as part of learning experience.
• Perform special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.
• Work within cloud-based accounting and finance platforms.
• Assist with data imports, exports, and system implementations.
• Learn accounting technology integrations and workflow tools.
• Help improve processes through automation and technology solutions.
