Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking an Intern in its Emerging Outsourced Accounting Services (eOAS) group in Springfield, MO to gain real-world accounting experience alongside associates, seniors, and managers.

You will work on general ledger, AP with Bill.com, payroll coordination, reconciliations, depreciation, monthly close, and help with management reports and software implementations like QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
• Maintain minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned office and ability to attend off-site meetings in person.
• Balance academic schedule with workload for multiple clients and projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Dedicate time to client service while coordinating work for our clients: general ledger importing or synchronization.
• Process accounts payable using Bill.com.
• Payroll coordination with a 3rd party provider.
• Bank and credit card account reconciliations.
• Depreciation schedule preparation.
• Monthly and year-end trial balance closing assistance.
• Assist with monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Various virtual and on-site outsourced accounting services.
• Accounting system design and implementation of QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct.
