Job summary

Eversource Energy is offering a summer Accounting internship in Berlin, CT and Westwood, MA for motivated students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. The role provides hands-on experience with monthly closings, regulatory filings, and financial analysis.

You will work with MS Office, Excel, and the mainframe accounting system, contributing to cost loading developments and research on accounting issues. Preference given to students who have completed their junior year.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with interest in financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to support a fast-paced internship.
• Solid analytical thinking and aptitude for learning accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of SEC, Federal Regulatory Commission and state regulatory filings.
• Review and analyze month-end financial statements and reports.
• Participate in monthly accounting close including journal entries and reconciliation of accounts.
• Develop corporate cost loading rates and assist with accounting issue research.
