Job summary

AESSEAL Inc. is seeking an entry-level Finance/Accounts role in Rockford, IL. You will support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting activities within a team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is pursuing or has completed an Associate degree in Accounting or Finance, with strong Excel skills and a detail-oriented mindset. Responsibilities include month-end tasks, data entry, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing, or recently completed, an Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field preferred.
• Foundational understanding of accounting concepts and a strong interest in developing practical accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with particular emphasis on Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support vendor account management and processing of purchase invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements to accounts payable records and investigate pricing or invoice discrepancies.
• Assist with employee expense reimbursements and preparation of ACH, checks, and international wire payments.
• Apply and allocate customer payments to outstanding balances and support customer account reconciliations.
• Investigate and help resolve customer account discrepancies and balance disputes.
• Support daily bank and cash reconciliations, including review of bank or lockbox activity.
• Assist with bank deposits and processing of customer credit card payments and credits.
• Gain exposure to sales reporting, management accounting, internal audits, and other Finance activities.
• Assist with month-end account preparation, journal postings, Sales & Use Tax, annual budgeting, and other accounting tasks.
• Provide administrative support to Finance team members and assist with routine accounting coverage.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and perform other duties as needed.
