Job summary

Family Community Services is seeking an accounting professional to support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department in Ravenna, Ohio. The role includes reviewing invoices, entering journal entries, and assisting with bank and balance sheet reconciliations, as well as budgeting and reporting for department managers.

The position requires good verbal and written communication, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and proficiency with Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and initiative.
• Familiarity with MS Office suite, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Review check requests and invoices for correct account coding and supervisor approval.
• Enter month-end journal entries.
• Assist in monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with agency budgets and financial reporting for managers.
• Maintain compliance with COA regulations and agency policies.
• Complete other accounting tasks as needed.
