WestStar Bank is seeking an Accounting Associate I to support the accounting function, including preparation of financial statements, monthly reporting, and account reconciliations. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and involves assisting with accounts payable and regulatory reporting processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of related accounting experience.
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus data analytics tools.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsabilités

• Applies GAAP and regulatory principles to prepare financial records and reports.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports for management and Board.
• Support daily and month-end financial processes including GL entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare revenue-related journal entries for subsidiaries and related reconciliations.
• Review vendor payments for proper approval and GL allocations; assist with 1099 reporting.
