Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions is seeking an Accounting & Finance Manager to join our client’s team in Tampa, FL. This onsite, direct hire role leads the monthly close and oversees revenue recognition and budgeting.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in accounting within MSP/MSSP/SaaS or tech, with GAAP expertise and experience coaching staff. Visa sponsorship is not available and only US-authorized candidates should apply.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in MSP, MSSP, SaaS, or technology industries.
• Direct experience with recurring revenue, including deferred revenue, contract billing, and revenue recognition.
• Proven leadership in managing monthly close processes and coaching accounting staff.
• Experience owning or contributing to annual budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis.
• Strong GAAP knowledge with hands‑on reconciliation and journal entry review skills.
• Ability to build scalable financial processes and leverage automation/AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close, review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Oversee revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and accounting for recurring revenue.
• Manage and coach the accounting team, including hiring and development.
• Own the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, treasury, and vendor management.
• Oversee billing accuracy, AR aging, collections, and payroll processes.
• Review gross margin reports by service line and validate contract setups.
• Collaborate across teams (Sales, Service Delivery, People Ops) on pricing and margin analysis.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve month-end close efficiency.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for executive leadership.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and tax agencies.
