Lone Mountain Land Company and Big Sky Real Estate Company seek an Accounting Intern to support our Accounting and Finance Department near the MSU campus in Bozeman, MT. The role offers flexibility between part-time and temporary full-time schedules and provides exposure to real estate financial operations.

The internship emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end processes across multiple software systems.

Formación

• Pursuing a degree in accounting, finance or related field.

• Ability to work about 20 hours per week during the school year; full-time availability during summer preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records using our systems.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Complete month-end reconciliations.
• Post and reconcile credit card transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable as needed.
• Assist with accounts receivable — posting payments and tracking balances.
• Help collect documentation for annual audits.
• Cross-train on multiple software systems used by the accounting team.
• Support general office management tasks as needed.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects.

Accounting Intern

Lone Mountain Land Company and Big Sky Real Estate Company specialize in the development and sale of premier real estate communities in and around Big Sky, Montana. The company supports world-class development and operations, overseeing real estate activities at Spanish Peaks, Moonlight Basin, Big Sky Town Center, and other projects in the Southwest Montana region.

Position

The Accounting Intern will provide accounting, finance, and administrative support for our Accounting and Finance Department.

This position is offered as a temporary full-time or part-time position and is located near the MSU campus in Bozeman, MT.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records through our accounting and electronic systems.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Complete statement and month-end reconciliations.
• Post and reconcile credit card transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable as needed.
• Assist with accounts receivable — posting payments, tracking outstanding balances.
• Help compile documentation for annual audits.
• Cross-train on multiple software systems used across the accounting team.
• Assist with general office management tasks as needed.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned.

Requirements
