Job summary

The Kingston Resorts in Myrtle Beach seeks an Accounting Coordinator to handle retained Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Accounting functions for the property portfolio.

You will perform month-end duties, ensure internal controls over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities, and collaborate with SSCs and service providers. Excellent communication and Excel/Word skills required; full-time, year-round position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Solid communication skills and professionalism.
• Strong understanding of accounting workflows and numeracy.
• Ability to learn and perform essential functions with minimal supervision.
• Proactive problem solving and analytical thinking.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience supporting hotel finance operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest inquiries, charge inquiries and requests promptly to support service and financial goals.
• Collaborate with SSCs and service provider, and partner with SSC to resolve disputes.
• Participate in the production of monthly accounts as directed.
• Perform month-end responsibilities.
• Execute internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the hotel.
• Report results to others and aid understanding of financial matters.
• Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with other finance and corporate departments.
• Attend staff meetings pertinent to work assignments.
• AP/AR duties to meet accounting needs of the department.
• General accounting functions as assigned by manager.
• Research and respond to information requests from internal departments and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
