Select Water Solutions, Inc. in Gainesville, TX seeks a Fixed Assets Accounting Coordinator to support routine accounting functions and various fixed asset entries, with involvement in financial reporting.

The role reports to the Fixed Assets Director and offers a Full-Time schedule in a climate-controlled environment. Responsibilities include maintaining accounting entries, assisting with audits, and ensuring internal controls.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Must possess mathematical skills and ability to produce quality spreadsheets.
  • Must have strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and accounting software packages, MS Navision, or MS D365 a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in GAAP.
  • Must be capable of interacting with all levels of personnel in the organization, as well as third parties.
  • Self-starter who is willing to accept responsibility and ownership for their function within the Company.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and workload effectively, excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and people skills.
  • Sarbanes-Oxley experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting entries.
  • Performs routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports.
  • Reviews, codes, and verifies transactions including billings, invoices, checks, and journal entries.
  • Utilize a comprehensive set of controls to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Assists in completing moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software tools.
  • Ensure internal controls are followed to protect the Company.
  • Support external and internal audits, coordinate responses and corrective management actions to address discrepancies or noncompliance issues.
  • Serving as back-up for key activities as needed.
  • Work with regional personnel to ensure timely and accurate reporting of accounting records.
  • Handle highly confidential information and material.
  • Participate in accounting system upgrades and/or initiatives.

Job Description

Select’s Fixed Assets Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with routine basic accounting functions and various fixed asset types of entries. Additional responsibilities include assisting with financial reporting.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
