Job summary

Extension, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Coordinator for a direct-hire opportunity in Port Washington, WI. The role focuses on processing AP/AR, invoices, and cash applications while resolving deduction issues with major retail customers.

You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Finance to maintain accurate records. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in accounting, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP/accounting software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, AP/AR, collections, deductions, or a related financial role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems or accounting software.
• Retail deductions, chargebacks, or experience supporting large retail customers is highly preferred.
• Manufacturing, CPG, retail, or contract manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, customer invoices, payments, and cash applications.
• Investigate and resolve retail deductions, chargebacks, shortages, and billing discrepancies.
• Manage deduction disputes through retailer portals, submit supporting documentation, and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Support payroll administration, timekeeping, temporary labor reporting, and employee data maintenance.
• Analyze deduction trends and collaborate with internal teams to improve collections and prevent recurring issues.
