Responsibilities
- Leading a team of 1-5 consultants across multiple industries including medical, manufacturing, restaurants, real estate, professional services, and construction.
- You will work within your team and cross-functional with other divisions.
- You will be joining a growing firm that invests in your development as a leader and believes in your ability to make profound impacts on clients and their teams.
- You will receive 1-on-1 development including leading high-performance teams, effective communication with stakeholders, execs and individuals, structure and execution of problem solving.
- Local travel to client sites is required.
Other Abilities Required
- Engagement management, ensuring staff is on-time and on-budget.
- Review and analysis of financial statements providing valuable insight and feedback to client’s stakeholders.
- Analyze costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future events.
- Analyze data in a meaningful way to better understand client’s reality and recommend effective solutions.
- Effective and simple communication of complex financial matters.
- Analysis and preparation of operational budgets/forecasts.
- Cash forecasting and management.
- Ensure accounting practices align with GAAP.
- Create and maintain controls, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and execute solutions to discrepancies in financial records.
- Performance and review of detailed and complex account reconciliations.
- Ability to document and maintain concise, relevant notes on complex matters.
- Banking covenant and banking/credit relationship management.
- Go to market and coordination of insurance and renewals.
- Project management of client’s audit and tax engagements with other firms.
- Client service liaison with client’s operational team and project team.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Masters or bachelor's in accounting.
- 5-7 years accounting experience. 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in a public accounting firm.
- Experience as a consultant in a professional services firm, preferred.
- Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to lead and project manage teams of people towards common objectives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite. (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
- CPA or CMA preferred.
