Sayva Solutions is seeking experienced senior accounting leaders for interim Controller and leadership engagements in the Houston market. Projects include month-end close, financial reporting, consolidations, and control improvements across multiple entities and locations.

Ideal candidates bring CPA credentials and a background in public accounting (Big 4 or large national firms) with strong executive presence and a proven ability to lead teams and partner with executives on strategic financial

Qualifications

• Significant progressive accounting and finance experience at Controller/Director/VP level.
• CPA strongly preferred; public accounting background highly valued.
• Experience with finance transformation, ERP implementations, automation, or systems optimization is preferred.

About the Opportunity:

Sayva Solutions is looking to connect with experienced Controller and senior-level accounting professionals interested in joining our consulting practice for a variety of client engagements throughout the Houston market. Our clients range from growing private and private equity-backed organizations to large, complex and publicly traded companies.

Engagements may include interim Controller or accounting leadership, financial reporting, finance transformation, process improvement, systems initiatives, organizational change, and other complex accounting projects. We are particularly interested in experienced leaders who can quickly assess an organization, provide hands‑on leadership, partner effectively with executives, and make an immediate impact.

Duration: Varies by engagement

Location: Houston, TX. Opportunities may include onsite, hybrid, and remote arrangements depending on the engagement.

Compensation: $75–$100/hour (W-2)

Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Scope:

• Provide interim Controller, senior accounting, or finance leadership during periods of growth, transition, transformation, or change.
• Lead and oversee month-end close, financial reporting, consolidations, reconciliations, and other core accounting functions.
• Support complex, multi-entity, multi-location, and potentially international accounting environments.
• Partner with executive leadership, FP&A, operations, and other business functions to improve financial visibility and support decision-making.
• Provide leadership around technical accounting, accounting policies, internal controls, audit readiness, and financial reporting matters.
• Assess existing accounting processes and implement improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, controls, and scalability.
• Support finance transformation, ERP implementations, systems optimization, automation, and related initiatives.
• Lead and develop accounting teams while providing additional leadership bandwidth during periods of organizational change.
• Support acquisitions, integrations, restructuring, audit initiatives, or other complex accounting projects as needed.
• Quickly navigate unfamiliar environments, establish priorities, and drive projects through completion.

Qualifications & Expertise:

• Significant progressive accounting and finance experience, including recent leadership at the Controller, Director, VP, or comparable level.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred, ideally with a Big 4 or large national accounting firm.
• Experience within large, complex, publicly traded, private equity-backed, or multi-entity organizations highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, consolidations, internal controls, and accounting operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading accounting teams and partnering with senior and executive leadership.
• Experience with finance transformation, process improvement, ERP implementations, automation, or systems optimization preferred.
• Experience navigating periods of growth, transition, restructuring, acquisition, integration, or other significant organizational change is highly valued.
• Strong executive presence, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to enter a new organization, quickly understand its accounting environment, operate independently, and provide both strategic and hands‑on support.
