Job summary

Mass Bay Credit Union is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the Accounting Department by processing, posting, reconciling, and balancing a variety of day-to-day bookkeeping activities with high accuracy and confidentiality. You will work under the Assistant Controller and CFO to ensure timely financial reporting.

The role requires strong Excel skills, GAAP knowledge, and a minimum of three years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• Associates' Degree in Accounting preferred though a combination of education and accounting experience may be considered.
• Three years of work experience in a similar position and industry or related field.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret detailed financial reports and external regulations; communicate with auditors and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and balance daily activity transactions to the General Ledger.
• Prepare daily trial balance and generate regular financial and regulatory reports.
• Coordinate with Operations on chargebacks, returns, and adjustments.
• Process and reconcile ATM cash and related activities.
• Prepare Fed Reserve reports and input wires via the Fed Wire System.
