Harvard Resource Solutions/Venteon is currently seeking an eager ACCOUNTING CLERK for a long-standing client in Oakland County. This is an opportunity to join a very long-standing and tenured team with a stable organization that offers balance and flexibility.

Summary: The Accounting Clerk will provide accounting and clerical support for the family office.

Hybrid work schedule: 2-3 days a week in-office after completing 2 months of training in-office.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk:

  • Make copies of all checks, complete deposit slips, and make bank deposits.
  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment.
  • Pay vendor invoices electronically or by check as appropriate.
  • Print, obtain signatures, and mail checks as required.
  • Conduct vendor research as requested.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and brokerage accounts.
  • Provide clerical support to the accounting department, including filing, copying, and electronic recordkeeping.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis tasks.
  • Carry out other duties and project work as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years accounts payable experience
  • 2-5 years of office experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software (INACT software experience a plus)
  • Experience with bank reconciliations
  • Comfortable with high volume of work
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with data entry and record keeping
  • Ability to operate calculator, computer, and other office equipment
  • Clear and concise communication skills, verbally and in writing
  • High accuracy and attention to detail

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required
