The Washington Hilton is looking for their next Accounting Clerk/Analyst.

This convention hotel features 1107 total guestrooms and more than 118,000 square feet of function space in 53 meeting rooms. Known for its legendary International Ballroom, the site of DC’s most notable events.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in accounting with a focus on accounts receivable, be proficient in Microsoft Office, able to learn proprietary accounting systems, and skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour

What will I be doing?:

  • Attends staff meetings pertinent to work assignments Answer guest service calls, contact guests via telephone, complete telephone request forms and send correspondence/folios to guests (e-mail, facsimile, mail, etc.)
  • Researches and responds to information requests from internal departments and management
  • Perform applicable retained Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Accounting functions
  • Respond to guest inquiries, charge inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to support continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability
  • Participate in the production of monthly accounts as directed
  • Prepare and complete month-end responsibilities, including, but not limited to, preparing reports and setting up late bills
  • Execute internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the hotel
  • Participate in special projects, team training and development
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
  • Reports results to others and aids others to understand financial matters
  • Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments they support
